Welcome To Midway Girls Softball
Midway Girls Softball was established in 1986 to promote women’s athletics in the community and to provide young women and girls ages 5 to 18 with the opportunity to further their knowledge of the sport and to compete in regular sporting activities. In addition to teaching the skills needed to play softball, the organization strives to develop in its players a sense of self-esteem, confidence, pride, sportsmanship, motivation and leadership; all traits that will better prepare these young women in life. League games and activities not only encourage a family atmosphere but also provide the girls with an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of their peers. We serve over 350 young women annually and are dedicated to improving the lives of those players as well as the quality of softball in New Castle County, Delaware and the surrounding mid-Atlantic area.

Pitching Clinic
The annual pitching clinic sponsored by Midway Girls Softball is scheduled for Friday nights running from January 6th through February 24th Starting time is 6 PM and it will be held at McKean High School.
No prior pitching experience is necessary, and you do not need to be a Midway family to attend. You cannot beat the low cost of $25 per registrant! This year's clinic instructor is Laura Francis, current Brandywine High School coach and former Division 1 Drexel University pitcher. She is looking forward to working with Midway for the second year in a row and helping to develop pitchers of all levels. Give pitching a try!
UPDATE: We currently have 22 players enrolled in our pitching clinic on Friday nights with 10 spots left. Please send me an e-mail at gregshivery@verizon.net to be put on a list. Registration will be done via walk-in at McKean. Girls 10 & under will be from 6-7 and 11 & older will be from 7-8. The 22 girls that showed last week know their time slots already.
