Welcome To Midway Girls Softball
Midway Girls Softball was established in 1986 to promote women’s athletics in the community and to provide young women and girls ages 5 to 18 with the opportunity to further their knowledge of the sport and to compete in regular sporting activities. In addition to teaching the skills needed to play softball, the organization strives to develop in its players a sense of self-esteem, confidence, pride, sportsmanship, motivation and leadership; all traits that will better prepare these young women in life. League games and activities not only encourage a family atmosphere but also provide the girls with an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of their peers. We serve over 350 young women annually and are dedicated to improving the lives of those players as well as the quality of softball in New Castle County, Delaware and the surrounding mid-Atlantic area.

Midway Pitching Clinic
Update: Friday January 30th is canceled due to a school activity where the facility is not available. The pitching Clinic will resume on February 6th.
The pitching clinic starts Friday, January 16th at McKean HS. It’s always fun and engaging for all ages and experience levels.
The clinic will run every Friday through February 27th. Girls that are 10U and under will be from 6-7 pm. and girls 11 and older are from 7-8 pm. This is a great (and inexpensive!) opportunity to give pitching a try!
Cost is $30.00 for 7 weeks of instruction.
Signups will take place at McKean when you arrive.
Our pitching coach this year for the clinic will be Meghan McGonigle. Meghan is a coach with our 14+ Gators and played with Midway herself.
Meghan McGonigle first started pitching at the age of 9 years old when she played for Midway Girls Softball. She has been a pitcher since then. She attended Delaware Military Academy, where she was starting pitcher all 4 years.
She also attended Wesley College for a year where she was a walk on starting pitcher. She is now a coach with Midway and teaches private lessons.
